Last week the Full Council in Basingstoke met to debate Cllr Mark Ruffell’s Motion to protect Basingstoke and Deane’s precious countryside. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSPeVNfUbM4 – (skip to 2 hours 28 minutes to hear Cllr Ruffell’s Motion). STaNHD think that the area being proposed for the Upper Swallick development should be part of a green network of high quality landscapes around Basingstoke, protected for the enjoyment of the residents of Basingstoke and neighbouring communities and to protect biodiversity. It is up to our elected representatives to take action now, before it is too late!
