Thanks to everyone who's signed, nearly 1,900 of you and counting! After consulting with legal experts and reviewing national shelter operations standards, we've refined this petition to focus on the three specific, structural changes Bartow County needs to make right now:

1. Issue a 90-day notice to end the Etowah Valley Humane Society's contract with Bartow County under Section 7 of the 2013 agreement.
2. Bring Bartow County Animal Control under direct county management, operating as Bartow County Animal Services.
3. Establish a citizens advisory board for permanent public oversight.
