Rethink I-95 on Philadelphia's Waterfront

Next American City started this petition to Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) (Barry Schoch, Secretary of PennDOT)
I-95 squanders valuable space in Philadelphia, creates a barrier between the city and the waterfront and keeps the city from developing a better, 21st-century transportation system. Now the city has to decide what to do with the crumbling elevated highway. Do we rebuild it, same as before? There's got to be a better alternative. Petition PennDOT to rethink what can happen on Philly's eastern waterfront without the hinderance of a highway. Let's tear I-95 down and reconnect with our waterfront.
