NEW PLANNING APPLICATIONS RELEASED! Hendon needs you… Again!

Two new ‘Hendon Hub’ Planning Applications have been released, one of which impacts Hendon Library. 

Deadline for comments is 24 August 2023.

PLEASE take a few minutes to comment. Even after 32 months of fighting to get the planned MDX University expansion into Hendon scaled down, we MUST keep recording our dissent. Your efforts now will help immeasurably with our other ongoing actions.

The first Planning Application is a proposal for 3 huge, ugly new multi-storey buildings on The Burroughs to be situated opposite the historic Hendon Library/Town Hall etc. 

The second relates to Hendon Library and includes proposals for a uni lecture hall to be created where the current first floor is and for a huge new four-storey teaching block to be attached to both Hendon Library and Town Hall, physically annexing them to the MDX campus.
