The Council carried out a statutory consultation in May / June 2019 regarding proposals to introduce double yellow line “at any time” waiting restrictions in the following locations: 1. Colindale Avenue, the northside between Nos. 57 / 59 Colindale Avenue and its junction with Charcot Road; 2. Colindale Avenue, the southside between No. 82 Colindale Avenue and its junction with Guardian Avenue; 3. Ajax Avenue, the north-east side, between its junction with Colindale Avenue and No. 14 Ajax Avenue. Having considered all the comments received during the statutory consultation, a decision has been taken to introduce the double yellow “at any time” waiting restrictions as proposed. It should be noted that the Council has a duty to balance safety concerns of all residents in its decision. In this instance the proposed extension to the double yellow lines in Ajax Avenue and Colindale Avenue is considered necessary to prevent obstructive parking to improve traffic flow, sightlines and general road safety. Therefore, it is anticipated that the proposed changes mentioned above, as detailed on the enclosed drawing, No. SCR274 - 01 will be implemented on street shortly and that these changes will come into operation for the purposes of enforcement on the 30 August 2019.
