EPIDEMIC OF RHDV2 NOW IN ALL STATES ACROSS AUSTRALIA

Our latest outbreak of RHDV2 has occurred and been confirmed by pathology testing as RHDV2 in TASMANIA.... We are now facing a serious threat to the domestic rabbits in Australia,,,, this includes Meat Breeders, Pet Owners, Show and Rare Animal breeders, and Rescue Organisations... especially at risk now with the recent announcement on Landline that K5 another deadly killer has been approved for use in Australia. It is Known but not acknowledged as a serious issue by the government that the current vaccine gives little to none efficacy with K5,,, and absolutely none on RHDV2... and of course Myxo has never had a vaccine...,,, see Barnaby Joyces response on the landline segment. So coupled with the renewed mystery revival of a stronger Myxo strain, this year, we are under serious threat to domestic rabbits. Yes , wild rabbits need to be culled , yes we understand that, but not this way. One its extremely inhumane, ask any domestic rabbit owner who has witnessed the demise of their own to any of these virus... so three major virus without adequate vaccine protection for any of them... I think it behoves the government to do something about this situation. If it was pet cats or dogs or any other domestic animal it would cause a huge out cry,,,,,, but hey its only a rabbit eh???? please sign this petition and help get us adequate protection against these virus strains.... before we have no domestic rabbits.. we are in serious trouble here in Australia.... surely there are more than the number of signatures to date of people who care living in Australia,,, it is hard to believe that less than 2000 have signed the petitions....
