Thank you all for your wonderful support, reading through these positive and supportive comments is fantastic to see, however, I thought I should address some suggestions made, such as to use milk to make yogurt or cheese, and while it is a great suggestion, unfortunately this is not possible as it is not the farmers who decide where and what the milk is made into, also, unfortunately, dairy farmers are locked into contracts with their company that they've signed with, making it impossible to back out once signed, so after this, payments can be changed regardless of the impact it can have, so with no where to go, and nothing to be done, other than change the price paid per liter, farmers are stuck providing milk twice a day at very low costs and in fact are working backwards, loosing profit every day. Being a farmer, money comes in, and even more money goes out and accumulates large amounts of debt annually, and as as result of the recent drought, extra water is having to be paid for and delivered which is very very expensive, only to run out again. So thank you again for all your wonderful support and hopefully something can be done soon before we loose the only 6,000 dairy farmers we have Australia wide. Please keep sharing your supportive messages and don't let this issue go unheard. Yours sincerely, Chloe Scott.
