Free Leonard Peltier

The Issue

In 1975, on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation, a shoot-out between Native activists and FBI agents resulted in the deaths of two FBI agents and an Indian. A Lakota man, Leonard Peltier was wrongly convicted in the deaths of the agents and is now serving life imprisonment. Based on false testimony by witnesses paid by the FBI to speak, Peltier has been labeled a murderer. Throughout the world well-known activists, including the late Nelson Mandela, push for Peltier's release. However, the U.S. government refuses to grant Peltier clemency. If we wish to have liberty and justice for all let's start with Leonard Peltier.
