As we near the end of Obama's term I want to say Thanks for Your Support of the Petition!!!

Just an update...The petition I started a year ago has reached 65,000+ signatures... Unfortunately, Obama will be out of office by the end of the month and I have 0% that his successor will do anything...To all those who signed and shared this petition I thank you for your support!!! When I started this petition I did it with the intent to show people the influence that these people have in our society and that something must be done to counteract. When they take the sheets off their head, they go back to being your teachers, your police officers, military and government personell, doctors, judges and lawyers. They take their hate mentality with them and use their positions of influence to further their hatefulness on a systematic level. That loan you were denied at the bank when you met the qualifications, that aggressive police officer that slammed your child to the ground or shot your unarmed brother in the back, that judge that gave out extreme sentences to minorities, yet gives a pass white offenders guilty of the same offense. The racism and hate which they perpetuate is deeply rooted in this society and if we have any hope of actually living up to the the ideals for which America is supposed to stand for and represent, we must do all that we can to keep these hateful people from spreading their poison and influence which spawns the likes of Dylan Roof who recently said he has no remorse for the 9 individuals he murdered in a church. We must condemn and prosecute officers who abuse their power when interacting with the public. Don't let anyone fool you into thinking that racism is Dead or that the KKK has no influence in society anymore. President Elect Donald Trump's campaign this past year has shown that racism is very much alive and well TODAY. We ALL must play our part! It might be as simple as calling out a classmate, family member, or co-worker who demonstrates any form of bigotry or makes a racist comment. Let them know that you do not cosign their actions. Remember, silence is compliance. Again, I thank everyone who supported the petition and overstands how serious the issue is.
