Petition will be sent this week

Thank you for supporting our petition. As you may know, a public hearing was held last month by the National Park Service at Brick Baptist Church. The church was standing room only, and all who testified spoke in favor of the designation. There has been a tremendous amount of work going on behind the scenes to make sure all easements and necessary paperwork is in order. We are still hopeful the President will sign before leaving office. The petition will be finalized and sent to Secretary Jewell and the President early this week.
