Stop Women Abuse Before Its to Late

The Issue

Khadija (her name has been changed to protect her privacy), married in 2011 and lived with her husband in Oujda, Morocco. At the time of the interview, she had a 7-month-old son and was pregnant. She said her husband beat her from the start of their marriage and during and after her pregnancy. He hit her on the head with the back of a knife, punched her face, and threatened to cut her face. “He knows I have nowhere else to go,” she said. “I had bruises all over my body.”

Women abuse is a horrible thing. Especially when she has kids and they don't know its happening because she covers up all her bruises. and when they do find out the kids don't know what to do so all they see when they see their mom is the bruises. and the mom cant do nothing about it because the boyfriend will threaten her or she thinks he might change. One slap can turn into punches then broken ribs and will end in death but if they would have called earlier and got help he would be in jail won’t be able to hurt other women, the mom wouldn't be as injured and the kids won’t get hit for small things. or when they go out and the mom wants to leave already and the boyfriend slaps he in the face and tells her to wait out and now they are home she tries to tell him to go pack up and go but he's tired falls asleep and wake up next morning pretending nothing happened.

As many as 324,000 women each year experience intimate partner violence during their pregnancy. An estimated 1.3 million women are victims of physical assault by an intimate partner each year. One woman is beaten by her husband or partner every 15 seconds in the United States. One in every four women will experience domestic violence in her lifetime. There are 1,500 shelters for beaten women in the United States yet There are 3,800 animal shelters. About 4,000 women die each year due to domestic violence.

This impacts me because my mom had to go through this ( not no more).
