What these Educators in the Atlanta Public Schools did was 100% wrong, illegal and deserves a clear & appropriate consequence to send a message to any/all who consider(ed) achieving a goal by means of cheating. They are indeed expected to be held accountable for everything they did. However, the punishment of felonious jail time for crimes of falsifying test scores, claims of racketeering and making false statements leading to a possible 5-20 year sentence, is egregious and does not send a clear message. It is not a fitting punishment to this school system that is already in the process of reform, to the under served & under privileged students, our former, current & future educators, to the community & this country. Stand with educators everywhere who have solely shouldered the blame of a faulty & failing educational & testing system by SIGNING THIS PETITION NOW! Make the punishment fit the crime!
