Don't put cow's fat in new £20 notes

The Issue

There's still time to use alternative to tallow in the new £20 notes. The new £5 notes and £10 notes contain animal fat in the form of tallow which is extracted from cows. This is unacceptable to millions of vegans and vegetarians, Hindhus, Sikhs and Jains across the UK, and has resulted in the banning of the notes from some temples. We demand that you cease to use unnecessary animal products in the production of currency that we have to use, and that a sustainable vegetable fat alternative is used in the new £20 note.
