Was very disappointed to see this article today https://www.reuters.com/article/us-bank-of-america-remington/bank-of-americas-loan-to-remington-tests-its-firearms-pledge-idUSKBN1I70AE, which reports that the bank is contributing $43.2 million to a $193 million lending package funded by seven banks, which will help put Remington back on stable footing as it emerges from bankruptcy later this month.
As the article points out, it may have been difficult for Bank of America to pull out of this one due to its prior commitment. However it could have used its position as a lender to attach some kind of conditions (such as stopping manufacturing assault rifles) but it didn't.
I'm adding Bank of America back into the list of companies that this petition is addressed to.
The article reports that "For the new facility, Wells Fargo & Co and Regions Bank are each providing $43.2 million, while Branch Banking and Trust Co, Synovus Bank, Fifth Third Bank and Deutsche Bank are providing smaller amounts." Wells Fargo, Regions, Branch Banking and Trust, were on this petition already. I'll add Synovus Bank, Fifth Third Bank and Deutsche Bank to this petition and also to my spreadsheet that shows all their contacts (will fill in contact info for them shortly) https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1NKKmn9OpT1v0yNCqccZDVHhLijfUqM98FLSh2LRcHOk/edit?usp=sharing
Please go ahead and use the contact info for Bank of America in line 10 if the spreadsheet to let them know what you think of this latest development.
