As you will see from the recent worrying news from the CHT, indigenous women and those involved in supporting the Marma sisters are still at risk of being targeted and silenced. Update: Indigenous Women Human Rights Defenders abducted Yesterday (Sunday 18 March) morning about 9:30am, two young Jumma indigenous women leaders, Monty Chakma and Dayasona Chakma, were abducted at gunpoint in Rangamati District of Chittagong Hill Tracts, Bangladesh. Unidentified abductors are reported to have arrived in a vehicle of security forces.
