The idea of surge pricing/in demand pricing for an event with a fixed capacity and also a set release time is absurd. Of course it’s in demand, there’s a fixed amount of tickets being released at this very specific fixed time. This is ticketmaster’s doing. They are using fan excitement/FOMO to price gouge fans but… 

the artists themselves have to opt in to this ridiculous scheme. No artist, especially not one who tweeted on multiple occasions about reselling only at face value, should take advantage of their fans in this manner. Whoever, in any artists team, is responsible for this decision please know it leaves a very bitter taste to be asked to pay 2.5x face value for the exact same general ticket

Not only should this disgusting and deliberate profiteering be made illegal but we as fans should NOT buy “indemand” or any other form of surge priced tickets!
