According to a study completed by the World Wildlife Fund, 100,000 marine animals in Australia have their life cut short due to plastic pollution. And the truth is, we don't even need disposable or single-use plastic. Sure, it's a convenience, but when so many animals die each year because of it, it becomes a cruelty.

There are alternatives, too. If you're shopping, use a reusable cloth bag. Disposable plastic cups, and plates, can easily be replaced by thick paper cups and plates. 

It's not that hard.
