Dear Supporters,
Because of your support, this movement has grown beyond a petition. I’m proud to share that we have now officially launched our national lived-experience campaign:
This campaign was created to push for one clear goal: federal law reform to end the misuse of NDAs across Australia.
Recently, Victoria became the first Australian state to restrict NDAs in workplace sexual harassment cases. That is an important and commendable step forward.
But Australians should not have different protections depending on their postcode.
There is still no national law preventing NDAs from being used to silence survivors of harassment, discrimination, bullying or unlawful conduct.
That must change.
Our focus now is clear:
We are calling on the Federal Government — including the Attorney-General, the Minister for Employment and Workplace Relations, and the Minister for Women — to introduce legislation that ensures NDAs can never be imposed to conceal misconduct.
Confidentiality should only ever be chosen by the survivor — not imposed by their employer!
After fifteen years of being silenced myself, and securing my right to speak in March 2025, I created this petition and founded Ban The NDA Campaign so that others will not have to fight the same battle. I'm being joined by allies Kirsty Prince (former Corrective Services NSW) and Anna Hough (former Parliament House employee).
We've band together - to ban the NDA!
