Morning everyone,

Ofgem released their price cap announcement this morning, I'm sure you're all getting notifications from BBC. There is an article at the top of this update that gives information on how standing charges and unit rates are changing, as well as insight into what experts were predicting and how different the announcement is. The headline though is another 2% increase in the price cap is coming this October.  

You can also still access the Fuse Energy tariff on Uswitch, which is £270 cheaper than the newly announced price cap, definitely worth switching and saving if you haven't already! 

There are likely to be other announcements from Ofgem today, so I'll write up a couple of articles and send another update tomorrow with the big ones.
