Hey everyone,
Article: What was the Prepayment Meter Scandal and why are suppliers compensating customers?
£237 Saving: E.ON Next Fixed 13m v2 tariff is £237 cheaper than the price cap
There has been announcements today about an Ofgem investigation on the PrePayment Meter scandal, and compensation that is being paid out by suppliers.
Suppliers in total have paid around £70m in compensation across various means - however the scandal cost all of us around £870m - so in my opinion we're stilled owed £800m!
I've provided an article above with a lot more information, I think you'll all find it interesting. There is also a link to a price comparison site there, fixed rate tariffs are significantly cheaper than variable tariffs, so if you haven't moved to a fixed rate tariff in the last year then I recommend saving yourself some money and moving suppliers.
That's all for these evening, thanks all.
