Huge Energy Savings on Uswitch: Energy Tariffs £204 cheaper than the price cap!

Two big bits of information today. First, I've finished the Ofgem Report. It's designed to convince the Government to upgrade Ofgem's mandate. The consultation actually closed at 23:59 last night, I only managed to finish and send it off at 22:49 last night, so I didn't have time to share it. But, the Government aren't unreasonable, if you manage to get a response send to them by Monday evening, they'll probably still take it into account. Please do get involved.

Also, there are some huge savings on energy bills finally. British Gas have updated their tariff for the third time this week, now it is £184 cheaper than the April price cap, and you get £20 cashback, so really a £204 saving. Well worth a look if you're on a standard variable or default tariff. 

I just want to thank everyone that supported the production of the Ofgem report, I hope this is a step that will make real changes in how our energy regulator prioritises decisions and monitors suppliers. Please do get involved in this consultation, it's the most important one we've worked on so far (my response is almost 40 pages long!).
