Price Cap Expected to Rise in January and stay high in 2025

Ofgem's 'Innovation in the Energy Retail Market' - Part 1 of 2

Hey everyone,

Two big updates today. First, Ofgem are announcing the January 2025 price cap later this week or early next week and now all of the energy experts are placing their predictions. It appears that the cap is expected to go up in January and then go up even further in April 2025!  In the first video/article above I discuss the expected prices next year and what you can do to circumnavigate these increases to your bills.

The second article is a summary of Ofgems 'Innovation in the Energy Retail Market' consultation. It's just an overview of what they're consulting on and what they're thinking, my actual response will come later in the week, so keep an eye out for it.

That's it from me today, I'll be back later this week with more content on what's happening with the price cap update.

Thanks all,

Richard Winstone
