Thank you so much for your support in campaigning this cause. I have sent a link to my local MP to submit to parliament now we have reached the 10,000 signatures mark. We still need to keep the ball rolling though so if you are able to share on social media platforms and pass around like-minded friends, hopefully we can gain more support and really put the pressure on the government to make this a reality.

A few people have asked why I have used a picture of German Shepherd dogs. Simply these were my own dogs. Sadly they have all passed away now and you will know from my other update I currently have a rescued Belgian Malinois mix and a Cocker Spaniel. I have a soft spot for GSD’s though and the number of people who keep them without the ability to care and train them properly is frightening and very sad. Will they be making the headlines soon, or will it be a Staffy, a Malinois, or a Doberman? Funnily enough I have had more bad encounters with black Labradors and terrier types than XL Bully types! My point is, any dog breed could be next on a banned list as the potential to be in the wrong hands is so easy without anything in place, like dog licensing. Of course it isn’t going to stop all the ‘baddies’ out there getting their hands on a dog without a licence, but it would be more difficult for them and responsible owners would be supported not penalised.
