Dear supporters,

Perhaps the most discouraging part of our efforts to effect change in the third party marketplace is the lack of support or interest from the companies who have the power to do something about it. Every single one of my e-mails asking for transparency, offering solutions, and requesting examples of how these companies are going to combat price gouging has been met with the same response; “There’s nothing we can do, and if there was, we couldn’t tell you about it.”

Simply put, I don’t believe them. We can work together to prevent scalpers from cheating consumers, and we should. Scalping is unacceptable, whether it’s for medical supplies, retail items, or concert tickets. It’s unethical. It’s unnecessary. And we don’t have to stand for it.

Please continue sharing this petition and reaching out to these sellers. Ask them how they plan to combat price gouging on their platforms. We can make a change!
