Quiet Sky WaitematāAuckland, New Zealand
4 Nov 2024

Got a burning question about what it means to have a private use helicopter coming and going in your neighbourhood?

We’ll do our best to answer it at our upcoming Public Meeting to be held THIS Sunday at 4.30pm at the Grey Lynn Library Hall, 474 Great North Road, Grey Lynn.

  • Quiet Sky Waitematā will outline why we think helicopters in residential areas are a bad idea and how you can help stop the 38 Rawene Ave, Westmere consent application before it impacts on the Coxs Bay wildlife and recreationists.
  • Gail Ratcliffe, a clinical psychologist, will discuss the mental health effects of noise pollution.
  • Bill McKay, a senior lecturer in the School of Architecture at University of Auckland, will talk about intensification and the importance of protecting peace and quiet, natural open space and the foreshore.

Q&A at the end. Close at 5.30pm.

Thank you to Helen White, MP for Mt Albert, for making this event possible.

Also just a friendly reminder to send in your submission to stop the 38 Rawene Ave, Westmere helicopter that will impact Coxs Bay. It only takes a few minutes. Go to quietsky.nz for all the information you need. Thanks so much.
