There is progress being made in the plastic-free movement in Miami Beach. Last month, the Board of County Commissioners approved the Plastic Free 305 Program. This is a voluntary certification program for businesses located in Miami-Dade County. The “Plastic Free 305” program will provide support to businesses as they transition to plastic-free alternatives. The program will launch during Earth Month 2022. 

This moves us one step closer to eliminating plastic bags in Miami Beach. This petition is working. The more signatures, the louder our voice! Continue to share this petition so we can move to a plastic-free Miami Beach as soon as possible.
