In our last update, we reminded everyone that on November 25th the UK House of Commons will debate whether to ban British trophy hunters from bringing home their victims' bodies.
This Bill, the Hunting Trophies (Import Prohibition) Bill, receives its second reading on that day and we urge all UK residents to contact their MPs, asking them to vote in favour of this important Bill. Link to find your local MP is in the previous update.
Additionally, there is also now an EDM (Early Day Motion) tabled by Sir Mike Penning MP (Con, Hemel Hempstead) to show the strength of support by MPs for the bill in the Commons.
Thank you for your support!
This is our big chance to achieve this long-awaited ban.
Our LionAid petition to ban the imports of lion trophies into the UK now stands at over 801,000 signatures!
It’s high time the UK Government acts on this.
