Thank you for signing this petition.
Yesterday, British Prime Minister David Cameron asked the Saudi government to stop the execution of Ali al-Nimr on charges from when he was just 17 years old. His crime was being an activist and critic of the government.
You are one of almost 10,000 people who have signed this petition. And there are many others around the world who have signed similar petitions.
We need the head of the most powerful country in the world, the self-proclaimed defender of democracy, and a strong ally of the Saudi government to join with us in calling for Ali al-Nimr's execution to be stopped.
We need to keep up the pressure on President Barack Obama to speak out on this issue.
There are many people whose lives are at risk around the world. By supporting Ali, we are also supporting each of them.
We are saying, loud and clear, Human rights matter. Human lives matter.
Thank you,
Mark
