While I understand the joy fireworks bring, I've personally experienced the panic as my cat hid under the bed. The impact on wildlife and the efforts of pet owners and animal rescuers weighed heavily on me. It's not the ideal way to start a new year.

 

Looking ahead, I aspire to find a more environmentally friendly solution. My goal is to collect at least 10,000 signatures, which will be presented to the Cape of Good Hope SPCA to bolster the case in court.
