33rd Ward Resources- Ban Dog Breed Restrictions in Chicago Rentals
Hello Petition Supporters,
My name is Grace with the Change.org Civic Engagement Team. Congratulations on the momentum you are building on the topic of banning dog breed restrictions in Chicago rentals. Having 543 people come together to advocate is a big milestone.
When momentum builds on a petition, our team reaches out to the local leaders who have the power to act on the issue. We help make sure they are aware of the growing support and encourage them to share a response directly to you about where things stand, actions they have or will take, and how the community can get involved in the decision making process.
Through outreach we learned key information that will inform the decision making process and supporter mobilization.
The office of 33rd Ward Alderwoman Rossana Rodriguez-Sanchez recommends that community members attend Neighbor Nights hosted by the Alderwoman. Neighbor Nights are held every other Monday. At the time of this post, the next available meeting time is on Monday, November 16. Community members can call her office at 773-840-7880 or email info@33rdward.org to schedule a 15-minute appointment during one of the Neighbor Nights with the Alderwoman as appointment availability permits.
If you live outside the 33rd Ward, you can find your Alderperson using the City's Find My Alderperson tool: https://www.chicago.gov/city/en/depts/mayor/provdrs/your_ward_and_alderman/svcs/find_my_alderman.html
We hope you find the information helpful. - Grace and the Civic Engagement Team
