The Issue

Two days ago, a tragedy struck my family when our six-month-old German Shepherd puppy died due to internal injuries caused by a dog bone purchased from Walmart. These bones, which appeared harmless, splintered into glass-sharp edges, leading to severe internal damage that ultimately took my puppy’s life. I write this with a heavy heart, hoping to prevent this kind of heartbreak for other pet owners.

According to several reports on the internet, this is not an isolated incident. These bones are responsible for the deaths of at least fifteen dogs so far. Despite the growing number of fatalities, Walmart has continued to sell them without any strong warnings or recalls, putting more pets at risk. This isn't just my story; it’s echoing through many households devastated by the loss of their pets due to these dangerous products.

It's crucial that Walmart takes immediate action. The goal of this petition is twofold: firstly, to press Walmart to remove these dangerous dog bones from their shelves permanently. Secondly, if complete removal is unattainable, they must implement prominently displayed warning labels on the packaging, stating the potential risk of internal injuries or death. These actions will help ensure pet owners are informed of the potential dangers.

Every companion animal deserves protection, and every pet owner has the right to make informed decisions about the products they bring into their homes. It’s unacceptable for dangerous products to masquerade as safe treats for our pets. Walmart must be held accountable for the safety of the products they offer.

By signing this petition, you will be joining a community of pet lovers and advocates dedicated to preventing further tragedies. We must compel Walmart to prioritize the safety and wellbeing of pets over profit, ensuring that every pet owner can trust the products marketed to them. Please, add your voice to the call for change and help protect countless pets from hidden dangers. Thank you for your support. PICTURES AVAILABLE . HAVE PICS OF BONE, WRAPPER ECT. ALSO WILL NOT LET ME RESPOND  TO COMMENTS.  OL ROY BONE. I HAVE OTHER ONES ( COMPLETELY DIFFERENT KIND )THEY MAKE THAT I'VE HAD FOR YEARS. MIDDLE IS HOLLOW. I FILL WITH PEANUT BUTTER ECT / TREATS. BONE HE DIED FROM, IMMEDIATELY SPLINTERED MAKING SUPER SHARP POINTS. I IMMEDIATELY TOOK. BUT SOME WAS QUICKLY SWALLOWED. HE SUFFERED A HORRIBLE DEATH. WISH IT WOULD LET ME ADD MORE PICS AND RESPOND TO COMMENTS.  IF YOU  SIGNED THANK YOU.
