The White Sands Hotel in Ballyheigue, County Kerry is shamefully continuing to sponsor cruel hare coursing. The hotel's support for the bloodsport goes back years with the annual "White Sands Hotel Coursing Cup" and the event is due to take place again this weekend at the Ballyheigue coursing. Here, hares forcefully snatched from the wild will be used as live bait for dogs to chase. In previous years at this location, hares have been hit, suffered painful injuries and died.
