The local person we have been working with on this project, who is part of the electric society in Gili Trawangan has had to flee the island because of fears over his safety. He is having to stay on another island. He has been threatened by the local gangsters who are involved in the horse drawn cart trade because of the campaigning he is doing to end the horse drawn cart trade. He is unable to run his electric bike business on the island and cannot work at the moment, he is struggling with finances for him and his family. He states that this is also really affecting his family. He has taken huge risks to push forward this campaign and has suffered severe personal implications as a result. For safety reason he is remaining anonymous. We are asking the community to support our friend and his family. Any donations would be much appreciated! Please do help if you can! :)
