Let me be clear - if I am elected, and unless there is a groundswell of local opinion against my position, I will do everything in my power to lobby for any changes so that ALL taxis operating in Bath will be subject to the same regulations and stringent checks that taxis with a 

@Bathnes registration endure.

In the interim period before any legislative changes are made, I will be pressuring whoever needs pressuring in the local administration to make sure all the current rules are enforced to their maximum.

I want to see licensing officials come out at night and clamp down on the illegal taxi ranks that are springing up, and to warn off those drivers who are illegally touting for business.

First and foremost, this is a matter of safety, and secondly, it is a matter of fairness.
