The antibiotic drug CONVENIA is causing serious side effects and even death in many household pets. Its side effects are well documented throughout the world and it should be banned from use immediately. There are many safe alternatives yet vets around the world are still prescribing it. The main use of this drug is for skin complaints yet it was prescribed for my cat for possible flu and an Upper Respiratory Tract Infection. It should not be given where there are kidney problems but it was still administered to my cat even though the vet said she had kidney problems suggesting that it is being prescribed inappropriately. Sadly my cat died 8 days after receiving the injection even though the vet had given a life expectancy of 4 months, In those 8 days she had stopped eating and drinking and just laid in her basket all day and night.
