Petition update

My next endeavor

Ned Taylor for Saanich Council
Victoria, Canada

Aug 19, 2018 —

Dear supporters,

Over the years I have organized this petiton to ban battery cages in BC. I met with BC Agriculture Minister Lana Popham on your behalf, and pushed for MP Murray Rankin and other BC MLA's to raise awareness of our movement in Parliament.

We've had a big impact, and together we have done a tremendous job advocating for humane, cage-free egg farming.

I wanted to inform you of my next endeavor. I'm running for Saanich Municipal Council this Fall. I'm 19 years old, last year I placed 5th out of ten candidates in a council by-election. I love this part of Greater Victoria which I have grown up in. I want to ensure that our wildlife and natural environment are protected. I also want to enhance local food production, that way, as an example, people are getting their eggs from a humane, cage-free farm rather than commercially bought caged eggs from the grocery store.

With 4 of 8 Councillors in Saanich stepping down, I have a serious shot of breaking through. I'm running a grassroots campaign, I've never accepted a donation from businesses or unions, only individuals like yourself. Can you help me by donating $20, $50, $100 or whatever you can afford to my campaign?

Our natural environment and animals are vulnerable - I want to ensure they get the protection they need. I need your help to make it happen. You can e-transfer me at nedtaylor4saanich@gmail.com, or mail cash or a cheque. Make your cheque out to "Ned Taylor" and mail to 1610 Earlston Avenue, Victoria BC, V8P 2Z5.

Thank you so much for your support over the years, I'm looking forward to continuing our fight for a cage-free BC. If you have any questions or concerns, I'd love to hear from you, email me at nedtaylor4saanich@gmail.com

In solidarity,

Ned Taylor
