Lana Popham's Constituency Assistant contacted me recently saying that at the moment Lana is very busy and won't be able to respond to you until after the Legislature is out of session (end of May). Although I would like a response sooner, this is still great news as she will likely respond. As she being someone who grew up raising animals, I am feeling confident she will support our cause and possibly work to achieve our goal in the Legislature when session returns in October. If you don't know who Lana Popham is, she a B.C. NDP MLA for Saanich South. She is also the Opposition Spokesperson for Agriculture and Food, which is why she is one of the decision makers for this petition. She grew up on Quadra Island and has been an MLA since 2009.
