Since the Oct 26 dog attack, Frank and I can’t sleep. We’re waking from nightmares, jumping at every sound, and taking turns watching the yard. Frank is a residential school survivor, so this violence at home is deeply re-traumatizing. Billy—Frank’s support dog since 2019—is healing, but our fear isn’t. My brain-injury symptoms are flaring and Elder care is suffering.
