With temperatures at a high of -3 degrees and windchills between -30 and -40 degrees it is dangerous for students to attend class on Wednesday, January 30th. Frostbite can occur to any exposed skin within just 10 minutes. The National Weather Services is advising all people to stay inside of their homes due to these dangerous conditions... this includes students and faculty who have classes during that time. Hypothermia, frostbite, and other dangerous injuries outweigh the pros of keeping the school open. It would be irresponsible to subject members of the Ball State community to these extremely dangerous conditions. Not canceling classes could have a detrimental effect on the well being of this community.
