Antidote to Divide & Rule Tactic: Remain focused, strong, & UNITED.

Caterina Lafergola has a record of dividing her staff and students so as to rule them, all to conceal her incompetence as an effective school leader. Rereading student FB posts, tweets, & comments on the petition, which now boasts over 1,500 supporters!, as well as reflecting on tonight's BOE meeting proceedings, I realize we are being hoodwinked. This overzealous enforcement of the dress code is a ruse to divide us (parents against their children AND teachers against their students), and to absolve Baldwin administrators & board trustees from taking full responsibility for their disastrous hire. Were the decision makers to acknowledge the enormity of their "mistake," they would have to do remedy it. As student, alumni, parent, and community stakeholders, we need to stay united and tenacious in forcing this acknowledgement and demanding an immediate termination, reopening of the job search, and the hiring of an "appropriate" replacement.
