We are disappointed with the outcome from Tuesday's meeting. If you were unable to attend- you can watch the whole thing here. 

Our part is at the end, but I want to encourage you to watch the whole thing if you can because there is a LOT going on that needs attention in our city.

As you watch this meeting pay attention to the council members words. These are people we elected into these positions. And we hold the power to change the narrative. If your district council person (or any of the at-large members) don't align with your best interests or values you have the power to make change. These local elections are often won by a few hundred votes. And they can be lost with just as many.

So what does this mean for us as a group? It's time to mobilize. We need to run for local offices. We need to get a seat at the table. We need to vote for individuals that are going to listen to their constituents. There is power in numbers and whether you want to run for office yourself or help pass out flyers and work in the background - it's time to get moving.

Thank you for all your efforts so far in this movement. We followed all the protocols and we did all the right things. So now it's time to get fired up!
