We did it! After six long yrs, three governments, and three education ministers later, we have officially reset the direction of Alberta's education for the better.

With the repealing of the 2013 Ministerial Order and implementation of the new Ministerial Order on Student Learning, we are officially moving away from prescribed inquiry/discovery-based pedagogy in the curriculum and moving forward to evidence-based best practices, with a greater emphasis on strengthening fundamental knowledge and skills. A knowledge-rich curriculum empowers our children to think critically and be more creative.

With a strong education system, weak students get stronger, knowledge and skill gaps narrow, and disparity decreases between economic classes. This is social justice.
