The Turahalli Forest is located about 20 km from Bengaluru, the last traces of forests in the heart of Bengaluru. The many wild animals have been observed, such as jackal, hare, monitor-lizards, and mongooses. More than types 100 birds can be observed. Our national birds, peacocks can be seen. The boulders of the forests stands still as dumb seeing the issues. There are records that this forest once sheltered leopards and bears, now no signs of leopards or bears.

The following problems posing threat to flora, fauna in turahalli forests

a. Entry Cycling, Motorcyles and Cars 

b. Carrying plastic cans, water bottles inside the forests

c. Less number of security .

d. Some antisocials setting fire regularly towards the Banashankri 6th stage sid of turahalli forests to enroach forest and convert to wastelands and in turn to develop housing layouts.

e. Notices should be posted in the entry and strict penalty to violators.

f. Entry of local goons or antisocialists to taken care.

g. The entertainment or adventures of rock climbing should be dedicated.
