This letter goes in the mail today — handwritten by my 13-year-old daughter
Thank you to everyone who has signed and shared so far. We are now over 280 verified signatures. The share-to-sign ratio has been remarkable, and I’m truly humbled by everyone who has taken the time to stand with this effort.
My thirteen year-old daughter enthusiastically penned by hand a letter I drafted to President Trump, urging him to award Thomas Sowell the Presidential Medal of Freedom. Watching her carefully write those words was one of the most powerful moments of this entire campaign.
Today that letter goes into the mail. I’m looking forward to any response or action that may come from it, and I patiently await as conversation around Thomas Sowell’s ideas continues to blossom. Thought many of you might appreciate seeing it. As a proud father, it’s a real pleasure to share my daughter’s penmanship (which she certainly didn’t get from me).
I’ve attached a photo of the letter and contents below:
This petition is about more than signatures. It’s about finally giving one of America’s greatest minds the national recognition he has long deserved, and helping bring his clear-eyed wisdom into the broader public conversation—right now, when it is needed most. From his writings on economics and education to his profound insights on race relations, communism, and socialism (shaped by his own early experience as a Marxist), Sowell’s voice has never been more timely.
If you haven’t signed yet, please do.
If you already have, please share this update—especially the letter.
Every signature and every share still matters.
