Petition to Award Cantina Legend Status to Season 1 Hotshots

When Season 1 started, many players were excited to jump in and prove themselves. Sadly, the season began with confusion and poor communication about the trials needed to earn Cantina Legend status. 🫤

Many dedicated players missed the first week simply because they didn’t know these trials existed. Because of that, they were permanently locked out of Cantina Legend—not due to skill or effort, but because the requirements were never clearly explained. It is unfair to punish players for something they were never informed about. However, they false predict calculated/ limited aswell the amount of people to access Hotshot on time. Only 14 people were in Hotshot. And Cantina said top 100 world wide!

On top of this, competitive fairness in Season 1 was hurt by exploit abuse and queue sniping. Several players frequently mentioned by the community—such as Tempplex, TonyHawke, and forcie, —were widely reported for abusing que snipping. This pushed honest players out of top placements and damaged the integrity of the leaderboard.

Another big issue are the midweek patches. These midweek patches destroyed the chances for people to rank up. Why? For example the hidden bunker event got putted out on a tuesday due to an exploit where you could go through walls. NO Announcements were made in that time, like we are going to put the hidden bunker event out on [that exact day].

There were two Daredevil 2 Brackets at that time (the highest possible rank at that time!). In hidden bunker people scored to 120k points for the hornet trial. A score that players who didn't done it before the midweek patch (because of several reasons, e.g. no awareness that it is going to be patched, couldn't play it on that day (due to work, school, got ill, etc.)) -> it killed the opportunity for players that wanted (or better needed) double promotion! Others were highly dominating with their 120k score on hornets, while others who missed that opportunity (due to embarks out of blue patch) only got one promotion. This is not competitive fair & legit! Poor Communication between Embark and Players!

 

With what we (the competitive players) now know, there are only around 150–160 Hotshot players from Season 1. Awarding Cantina Legend status to these players would still keep the title rare, while also fixing the unfair disadvantages caused by poor communication and system abuse.

Giving Cantina Legend to all Season 1 Hotshots is a fair solution. It respects player effort, restores trust in the system, and shows that honest competition matters.
