Next Wednesday, South Australian Senator Anne Ruston will table our petition in Federal Parliament calling for proton therapy to be delivered here in Australia.

This is a significant moment, and I want to sincerely thank every person who has signed, shared, supported, and helped amplify this cause. Your voices have helped bring this issue to the national stage.

But while this is an important step, our fight is far from over.

After more than 15 months of delays, inaction, and responsibility being passed between the State and Federal Governments, there is still no clear public pathway forward for proton therapy in Australia.

This matters because proton therapy is not a niche treatment for only a few people. It has the potential to benefit both children and adults facing complex cancers, offering more precise treatment and better protection for healthy tissue.

Australian families should not have to travel to the other side of the world to access care that should be available here at home.

As this petition is tabled next week, we are asking for one more push of support:

Please keep signing
Please keep sharing
Please help us keep the pressure on

We are calling on the Malinauskas and Albanese Governments to commit to the next steps and provide a clear way forward.

Because one day, this may not be about someone else’s family. One day, it could be someone you love who needs this treatment.

Thank you for standing with us.
