Victims have had a positive and immediate response from Qld Auditor General's Office Kaylene Cossart Manager – Specialist Audit Services Queensland Audit Office has advised of an investigation. To prove to the Qld Auditor General that significant numbers of victims of sexual abuse in Royal Commission Case Study 34 who attended Brisbane Grammar School have not in fact had claims satisfactorily settled. This is despite Brisbane Grammar School in public communication advising that claims have all been settled. It is suggested to each victim and their family to directly contact Kaylene Cossart simply advising the status of their claim against Brisbane Grammar School. We take your concerns seriously and will review work undertaken in this area. Unfortunately under s.53 of the Auditor-General Act, I cannot report back to you directly on findings from our audit.
