Mullumbimby’s Standing Stones are a prehistoric site of international significance that need protection and study. Aboriginal and non Aboriginal history will be rewritten if this area can be fully recognized, even activating ancient lei and songlines everywhere.

It is understood that the Standing Stones site is currently being considered for rezoning and we wish to make it clear that we the people will do everything within our power to ensure that this site is protected. The site has already been desecrated and it is our intention to ensure that no further damage is caused to this important site and that the site is restored to its original condition.
