Dear supporters,

At first, a huge thank you for your signatures, and it only took less than a week to pass 17000 views and 100 signatures, much shorter than I initially expected. That's the power of democracy! 

I could confirm Australian government is paying attention to this petition and has taken significant action. According to the latest update, Sydney could come out of lockdown on October 11th, and the New South Wales international border will open [mandatory quarantine free] in November. Both dates are well ahead than initially planned! 

Also, the New South Wales premier Gladys Berejiklian resigned yesterday, and this action shocked many. Other than the proposed investigation, the poor handling of the delta variant in Sydney is another crucial reason. I can not confirm if this petition also played a part! 

If you want to see Opera House and Harbour Bridge lightening up at 0:00 October 11th and the epic lineup once New South Wales hits the 80% vaccination target sometime in November, please let your family and friends sign this petition. I think my proposed plan could really become a reality if the signature number continues to grow.

Now I will continue to study at the University of Sydney, and hopefully, my event planning knowledge will work out finally!
