Chile is not listed as an eVisitor (subclass 651) or Electronic Travel Authority (subclass 601) country for entry into Australia. The result of this is that Chileans pay $135AUD to enter Australia and Australians pay $117USD to enter Chile.This is despite Chile's economic and social conditions being well ahead of several of the countries already listed. Chilean citizens are in a low risk category in terms of Australia Visa and or law breaches. This petition is for the inclusion of Chile into the listed countries and for the subsequent removal of these unnecessary fees for the citizens of both countries.
